Just to let everyone know that Gordon and Alison are no more. They left the L&G a/c several weeks ago.
Anybody see the Daily Telegraph today. It seems that Life Insurers are takeover targets for Clive Cowdery's Resolution business. Having just agreed a deal with Friends Provident, it seems that Scottish Widows, Clerical Medical and L&G are all high on his list of next targets, with L&G.
So the Redhill TCSers are wondering what implications a takeover would have on the outsourcing deal and the TUPE arrangement for transferees. I suppose it depends on what comes first, more Redundancies or a L&G takeover.

J I suppose it depends on what comes first, more Redundancies or a L&G takeover. Strongly suspect a takeover was the intention all along. L&G's actions have not been consistent with a company planning on any kind of building for the future.

I seem to remember some people on this site predicting this some time ago, when the board first started. Seems they may have been right.
Personally, i can't wait for a takeover/merger. No company could do a worse job.

Well apparently that plan to get rid of us has been brought forward. 70% of work offshore by November. That would mean starting the redundancy process about yesterday? As year 3 is nearly on us it seems that the original plan to have 65% of the work done offshore is being adhered to. Note that the 35% onshore includes any TCS india expats at redhill and kingswood. The only reason that the L&G rejects are still employed is that even after 2 years TCS cant match them for system knowledge. Meanwhile if youre looking for a low mileage second hand car? wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/26/tata-nano-goes-up-in-smoke/

Well as our chief says L&G pays a final end-of-loyalty bonus if you are here on May 30. Our TCS colleagues don't like the banding either. www.dexternights.com/2010/03/20/tcs-to-increase-the-share-of-band-d-ahead-of-annual-hike/See Ram March 27th "I heard the UK authorities have found some companies were underpaying their employees on deputation by claiming tax back for them and keeping it. I saw a post saying TCS was one and it was about £6k per person p.a. and TCS have been told that what they are doing is against the rules."

Yes it is confirmed that the second (and final) SAYE compensation payment will be paid to remaining ex-L&G on the payroll May 30th.
TCS results are out 19th April after which pay review details will be announced. TCS gave no salary increases to ex-L&G in 2009. Will it be different in 2010?
