TCS get a mention . "Jenny Cuffe asks if the government policy of tightening immigration rules to help preserve jobs for British workers is being undermined by employers who are intent on bringing overseas workers as a way of driving down pay." The program gets interesting/relevant about half way through. Well worth a listen. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00kpvfs

Everyone should listen to this - Don't wait until 5pm - it's on BBC I-Player on the web.
About 17 minutes in it's talks about BT dumping 15000 workers and then bringing in Offshore workers because it was a cost issue.
Then TCS are mentioned along with Wipro and the Indian company that BT are part owner of. The law states that if Non EU staff are brought into the UK on Inter-Company visas it must not be to replace UK staff and they must be paid the same salary of UK conterparts.
We all know the TCS staff are brought over to replace ex L&G staff, following their redundancy, and that the pay they are getting is way below UK rates. - Fiddle is that they 'pay' an accomodation allowance that makes up their pay.
Estimates prepared by TCS even quote 3 rates - High for Experienced(Ex L&G Staff), much lower for TCS offshore staff brought over to the UK and much lower still for offshore.
It stinks
