"A leaked European Commission document has revealed that in terms of the secret EU/India Free Trade Agreement, Britain is to take 20,000 Indian IT workers every year, even though there is a 17 percent unemployment rate amongst British IT graduates."
This is truly staggering. What are these Indian IT workers going to be doing ?? Are they going to be simply taking existing IT jobs off of home grown talent or is the off shoring model about to go exponential ?? Last week there was a very visible, noisy and sad to say violent demonstration against tuition fee increases; when are our protests going to start or will the last homegrown IT worker simply turn out the light ?

Searching the net, the only source I could find came from this vile site: bnp.org.uk/news/british-workers-put-last-again-euindia-free-trade-agreementNow, I'm just as peeved as the next IT guy about these job losses, and i'm hearing something is going on with our friends at TATA (being investigated for various mis-deeds I'm told!), but you must understand that the people who made the decision to cull the UK IT workforce are BRITISH and not indian. maybe the BNP should bear that in mind.

Vince Cable has an Indian wife, which might explain his attitude.
Keep writing to MP's, it's the only way to get the message over about the damage it is doing, especially outside London where decent jobs are harder to find.
