The only thing I can say is PLAY THE GAME.
If you are due redundancy - sit tight and play the game to get your money. - Unless you are a god they will not keep you. Please note that TCS think that nobody is above them - "Everything can be learned !" - All be it 50% of what they should know. - They just don't care.
You cost 3 times their Indian staff - And they give their last drop of blood for the cause or they are out in the slums.
**** If You are not due much redundancy, it means that you have not been here very long, and they do not need your brain to be drained enough - You WILL be the first to go.
GET ANOTHER JOB !
An Indian Guy will sit next to you for 3 months saying that he has no idea what is going to happen (despite letting slip during lunch that he took most of the work from the ex employees from AMEX before they were dumped).
Well. It's been over a year since I went through the "we are outsourcing you, but there will be exciting opportunities :" Bull-poo. - I believed it........
Having applied for the exciting jobs, I was suddenly told "I'm afraid that job has been withdrawn" - 4 Times! . - No reason why.
- THERE WERE NO JOBS - Unless you are an Indian.
Indians can move around you see - Thats the requirement for an ongoing VISA. If they don't they must go back.
In Short, look for jobs -
If nothing else - just to get the interview experience. - TCS Pay you to take the day off to find new jobs - Apparently they are very understanding with regards to helping you find somewhere new.
I Was made redundant - but I got a new job....
Guess where....At the same damn place who put me though the stress...
But I got £24,000.00 lump sum from TCS which helps..
And yes...The service from TCS is crap - but it makes me chuckle..
GOOD LUCK...
