All will come out in the wash but i think you'll find that it's been out for tender for some time. Suspect we will hear who's got it on the 12th. Not expecting any favours. We've not got a good history on these things

The stubbling block I hear is IBM want the whole of BTS. Problem arrises because she is being asked to retain 4-5 teams in-house as part of L&G strategy with this project.
All this info having been leaked before the union/HR having been consulted.
Remember IBM's business model is to offshore everything, you will not be required to stay onsite and push a red button every blue moon

Is it trew that some top decision makers in L and G have a "vested interest" with the well known Big Blue company ? I heard this was the case.

If there was a vested interest in 'Big Blue' then they would have been in the frame for the main prize. As we all know, this went to Pratsad and Co. of TCS in January 2008. How time flies when you are being shafted...

I thought the restructuring was already finished in BTS after the CW deal. No news is good news?!?! Oh for god's sake! TATA are already in the building! They've been taking on BTS project mgmt roles for some time now: 1. They are assessing the infrastructure (under the task of being an "interface" to help the relationship and all that other bollox) 2. They have been asked by L&G's senior mgmt *NOT* to be on-site 5 days a week as this sort of visibility would raise eyebrows (too soon) - 2/3 days a week for now. 3. Take a look around your bays sometime and see how many BTS project managers from TATA are around! Just what do you think they are doing? 4. Here's the best part for the directors, and the worst part for the employees: There's Nowt you can do about it - sitting ducks in June 2008, sitting ducks in 2010. Sad and a real pity. The beginning of the end for this historic institution and the great people who helped build it over the years. Dim Tim, Bury, and Noakes, I hope your Yachts were worth it (and please try and pass by the horn of africa sometime when you get the chance!)

Have a search on flags for MSP prefix would give you some idea of who is still with and registered as TCS!

Vested interest?
This isn't a case of vested interest its an inside job, just confirms what most people have heard IBM all the way.
Any idiots who still put into the union pls dont go crying when they start rolling over and rubber stamping your head to the dole queue

Yep - Data Centre and 'associated services' to be considered for outsourcing to 'experienced provider' in this space - so Lidl is the favourite.
'No firm decision yet' (March) aka 'please don't leave just yet while we pretend we might keep you on'. Doubt if they will be able to avoid retention payments once the ball is rolling as the market is moving now.
Interesting the financial market didn't exactly warm to this announcement.
Aviva did it last June but chose a cheap provider and have had serious internal failures already!

March has arrived and presumably no further announcement about BTS yet?
Also, did P Grades received a Pay Review this year or is that on hold as well?
